By Tag

The By Tag view allows you to browse and filter interfaces by organizational tags configured in your system. Use this method to find interfaces by business categories like criticality levels, domains, regions or custom classification schemes.

Workflow Integration: The By Tag lookup enables categorical interface discovery and analysis, helping you understand integration portfolios through business-relevant groupings and operational characteristics.

Navigate to Inventory → By Tag to access tag-based interface browsing with configurable tag types for categorical interface discovery.

Select Tag

The Select Tag dropdown displays all configured tag types available for interface categorization. Common tag types include Build Status, City, Country, Criticality, Domain, Region, Status [wic] and TestStatus.

Clicking a tag type (e.g. "Criticality") opens the tag-specific interface list view showing all available values for that tag category.

Tag Configuration: You can configure which tag types appear in this list through Settings → Configuration → Tags. For detailed setup instructions, see Tags Configuration.

Common Use Cases

• Architect: Review interfaces by domain for governance and compliance reporting

• Developer: Filter interfaces by build or test status for deployment planning

Categorical Discovery: Use By Tag when you need to analyze interfaces by business attributes or when filtering by operational characteristics like criticality or status.

By Tag (selected)

After selecting a tag type, the view displays all available values for that tag category, with expandable sections showing related interfaces and integrations.

Each tag value appears as an expandable section showing the tag value and associated content. Clicking the expand arrow (▼) opens detailed information for interfaces tagged with that specific value.

When expanded, you see:

• Interfaces: Displays interfaces associated with this ID value including Name (clickable), Type, Sender/Receiver (when configured) and Data Source.

• E2E Integrations: Displays end-to-end integrations with this ID value including Name (clickable), Sender/Receiver (when configured) and Data Source.

Clicking an Interface/E2E Integration name (e.g. "ACKRequest_Out") opens the detailed interface/E2E view with complete configuration, properties and metadata.

Best Practice: Use By Tag for portfolio analysis, compliance reporting, and when you need to understand interface distribution across business categories or operational states.
